Spine animation course: create a character with AnimationSpace!
We created this exciting course to help beginners quickly master 2D animation, and to help experienced professionals improve their skills and earnings.
What is Spine?
Spine is an indispensable tool for creating 2D animation. This program is used by 90% of game companies that work with 2D projects.
The free version of Spine is intended for trial only and does not allow you to save a finished project, which is, of course, very inconvenient. However, with us, you can use all the unlimited features of the Spine PRO version for a year!
And, most importantly, you won’t have to watch hundreds of videos and websites in search of a piece of useful information. You’ll get all the skills you need in one place, in a convenient format, and with the support of a team of mentors. Our teachers are not only aware of all the intricacies of working with Spine, but are also constantly looking for new interesting cases in animation.
What the course consists of
In the 2D Animation course, you will go through all the stages of creating characters and environments for video games.
Step by step, you will animate more and more complex objects:
- basic elements (pendulums, balls);
- environment and inanimate objects;
- interface;
- and, finally, the most interesting – a moving and absolutely functional CHARACTER!
The practical basis provided by the course will be useful regardless of the direction you choose. Once you’ve mastered the basic principles of animation, you’ll be able to start creating simple objects right away, as Spine has a very intuitive and user-friendly interface.
Each student of the course will receive an individual educational license for Spine, which will allow you to use the program for educational purposes. During the year, you will be able to use all the functions of the professional software and gain practical experience. The restrictions of the educational license apply only to commercial use of the program.
The results of the AnimationSpace course are:
- a detailed understanding of the principles of animation;
- ability to animate objects and characters;
- practical skills of working in Spine;
- a unique animation portfolio.
You will learn all the basic Spine tools, their optimal use, and the basic rules of animation. Under the guidance of our experienced mentors, you will master the intricacies of body mechanics, emotion, object deformation, and more.
Want to further develop in the gaming industry? Try to create your own animated world with us! Your experience is the key to success in finding projects.
Our goal
Our main goal is to teach students how to perform basic animation and rigging tasks in the Spine Pro program, as well as to familiarize them with the peculiarities of working in the game industry.
When an ordinary image starts moving without drawing each frame, it’s real space! And to do this, you just need to create a “skeleton” of the object and then set the rules for its movement. The task of our mentors is to gradually guide you through the thorny path from simple objects to animating a living character.
